had a concrete print drive put down recently by Kings.
The initial sales was fine and the design was fine ..then the sales rep (once the deposit had been taken) said we will contact you in the week to arrange a start date . 3 weeks later I rang and was told they were busy so hadn't yet got anyone round....No apology for not calling to let me know!
The drive went down and the workmen have knocked paint off 2 columns holding up my overhang to my garage and a piece of brick was knocked from a brick in my garage wall and just left on the lawn and the workmen trod over the plants at the front.nothing was mentioned by the workmen about this.I let those things go though.
The drive and the printing are generally ok except that 1) there are quite a few cracks which are more than hairline cracks on the printed surface.(The contractor was told of these and said they would 'sort that' when the sealant went on it) 2)where they have sealed up to the kerbstones next to the public path some kerbstones are sealed and some are not, i.e they couldnt be bothered to do it neatly and when I asked if they fill in the gaps which they cut to allow for expansion they said 'we can do if you want' so i asked do you normally fill them in?, reply was 'we can do if you want'! So they filled in the gaps with sillicone and some colour on top but like the kerbstones it is half done.
called the saleswoman round to have a look and she noted my complaint, took photo's and said she would get someone round in the week to sort out the problems.....3 weeks later no phone call and no problems sorted.
With large firms you can look at their work but you dont know if the large firm will send out their best or worst contractor.
So far the standards by both the saleswoman and the contractors have been poor ,poor by sale staff by not sorting things when they said they would and being too proud to apologise when they mess up and poor by the contractor for saying cracks will be 'sorted' and they havent been, and rushing the last part of the job which unfortunately shows in the finished product.
I think it is better now to go with a smaller firm where you know exactly who is fitting your drive and can look at examples of their work.
I cannot recommend them and suggest you look at alternatives.
