Mrs Quinn yeskiquinn@yahoo.co.uk Dear Electrical Contractor, Kitchen Fitter or Workshop Engineer, COOKER HOOD OR WORKSHOP EXTRACTOR FAN FOR SALE. UNUSED. It is made by OSTERMANN AND FLUS, of Menden in Germany (zip code 5750) Model number LB 5033 600 It has a variable speed slide control rather than 2 or 3 different speeds. It is 220 volts 170 Watt motor Lights are 15 watts (x two) 'gesamt' 185 watt (something I cant translate, but a sparks would understand! ) It has two stainless steel filters which are easy to clip out and can be dishwashed. There is no carbon filter to have to replace. There are two bulbs in the lighting panel. It weighs a lot, unlike the modern cooker hoods. Because its so solid – like a little tank ! - is why I think it could also be good in a workshop where people are making dust from sawing or grinding, (although ofcourse they should wear a mask as well !) It is in a white enamel metal casing and will need a 2 x 1 or similar frame to sit on and a panel acoss the front to match the rest of the kitchen units - or no decorative panel if its in a workshop. And it needs the extension to the vent pipe attaching to the existing vent pipe on it, at whatever angle is going to be appropriate for its position in a room, or on a wall. It was bought as part of very classy German kitchen I put into an old beamed cottage I renovated years ago. A huge beam was above the beautiful heavy chunky curved thick-edged tiled worktops that sold me the kitchen!! (and I had to cut and fit them!) - above the island/headland worktop where the pre-cut hob hole was, - so we couldn't use it and I wasnt fussed, as I dont do chips much and love the smell of my organic cooking and all the spices and herbs used from scratch permeating the house anyway! This kitchen came out of showroom in Wolves at a discount and otherwise I could never have afforded it! (I just used the veneered housing as an oddball bookshelf in a corner of another room and left the housing in that house when I sold it. That weighed a ton and a half ! and probably would have pulled the ceiling down if we had tried to fit it anyway! The housing was about 5 feet tall and designed for a home of high ceiings and lots of space between floor boards to get into and make secure fixings which my cottage didn't have.) Last time I checked the price on the internet the extractior fan was £400. I have been carting it around for years with moves and the switch has worn down because the safest way to store it was face down due its weight and shape, but would be easily replaced in the grip housing. Thats its only fault. It has never been connected for use, but you can plug it in to see it all works, which I did recently. I want to get £150 for it. I expect it will last forever in comparison to the modern, non German ones! The rest of the equipment with this kitchen was Miele and Bosch. Anyway if you would like to see it/test it, absolutely no obligation/hard sell, but just to know exactly what its like, please send me an email. I can also phone you if you want to leave a landline, but not mofo, and I will get back to you. You may not have any use for it in sight at present. Please keep it in your files in case the right job for it or the right associate with workshop could use it, and bear me in mind. Thank you for your attention, Yours sincerely, Y Quinn
