referering to previous comment below, i would just like to say the company did refund the cheque no arguments and the excuse was problems getting the door requested, so i dont want to bad mouth them to much as long as the cheque goes through then it may be a legitimate excuss,

I think this company take on a bit more than they can chew, i ordered a door on the 26 march and no call,s at all with a booking date, phone call after phone call trying to get through, finally got through best time to call before 9am, i gave a deposit as well, 16th april still no door , they did advise a date door would be fitted which would have been over a month but reading above would this door have been fitted? OR JUST ANOTHER LIE, i also went down company to collect my deposit, there was no money on the premises at all so excepted a cheque, i just hope this dont bounce so i can put a end to this nightmare, All i wanted was a door and ended up NO DOOR AND A MONTH OF HASSLE AND CHASING ! be careful all future customers!!!

My husband and I have been in the same situation as many others on here. We gave Evershine a deposit of £100 to fit a door. They made no effort to contact us and after chasing them several times (they barely ever answer the phone) they then failed to turn up at three appointed times. We promptly asked for our deposit to be returned and once again after several promises it was not. It was then that I searched for reviews online and found many others who had been conned out of deposits to the tune of £100. What a coincidence! We decided that this was not acceptable and my husband paid them a visit and demanded our money back. My husband is not big or threatening in any way yet they rather pathetically handed our deposit over, nervously stuttering over their words! Avoid at all costs!

Do not touch this company with a barge pole - similar story to Suzy W - have also got Trading Standards involved - the owners of this company tell lie after lie and just seem intent on stealing deposits from OAPs and then not doing promised work - despicable rats.
