• Ok Until you have a problem

  I went to the shop and thought wow, what brilliant products. I wanted to purchase a shawl for my new grandchild which would need to be knitted by one of their knitters. Chose the pattern and the wool etc and paid the deposit. The lady was very helpful. Had a phone call to say the shawl was ready and I was really excited. When I got it home and looked at it - what a shock! The shawl was smaller than the pattern had said, the border was different to the pattern. There were holes in it which were part of the pattern but were much bigger than they should have been, so baby's hands, feet could easily get caught in it - unsafe. It smelt of cooking and had a stain on it. Naturally I took it back to the shop and complained - they wouldn't refund me (when legally we all have the right to receive a refunds when goods we purchase are unsatisfactory) I agreed to having the shawl remade as per the pattern, but wasn't happy with their response. I have had to go to trading standards since then for advice - they have confirmed I should have a refund if products are unsatisfactory otherwise they are happy to take further steps if this doesn't happen - what a hassle!! Really disappointed with their customer services and their business practices. What should have been an easy and happy transaction has turned out to be a nightmare. I think buying from here would be ok if you bought straight off the shelf, seeing what you were buying and didn't purchase goods that need to be made up.
